LinkedIn hands smaller advertisers five AI campaign tools — and a look at where B2B adtech is heading

LinkedIn has introduced five Campaign Manager tools intended to help smaller advertisers create, personalise and test more advertising variations: Brand Kit, Draft with AI, Ads Personalization, AI ad variants and Flexible Ad Creation, as reported in MarTech's AI-powered releases roundup.

The pitch is volume and iteration without production overhead — generative drafting for ad copy, automated creative variants for testing, and brand-kit guardrails so the output stays on-brand. It mirrors the pattern Meta set with its Advantage+ suite: platforms absorbing the creative-production layer that agencies and in-house teams used to own.

For the Australian B2B market, where LinkedIn is the default demand-generation channel and media budgets skew small against US benchmarks, the tools lower the barrier to running proper creative tests — something most local B2B advertisers skip on cost grounds.

Why it matters: as every major platform builds generative creative into the buying tools, the line between media platform and creative supplier keeps blurring. Agencies charging for banner resizing and copy variants are watching that revenue get automated; the value moves to strategy, distinct brand assets, and measurement discipline. Note: SHWAY has not yet independently verified rollout timing for Australian accounts.
